Leader Responsibilities
From Networked Advocacy
- Monitor: Leaders must have a birds-eye view of the network. They must see connections, successes and weaknesses, and have the power to make appropriate adjustments.
- Gathers and applies information. Leaders also have access to the information to guide and monitor the network, as well as the power to make decisions.
- Connect: Leaders must be able to successfully identify and bring together resources and members in ways that expand the capacity and effectiveness of the network. This function is also played by the network weaver.
- Scope: Leaders must have a sense of where and how the network might grow - where new members are likely to be found, and how the network can continue to evolve.
- WHAT ELSE must effective leaders do?
